夏です。パイナップルの最盛期を迎えております石垣島です。
この季節は、1番いろんな種類のパイナップルを食べることができて、石垣島に住んでいることに感謝。
8月に入ると、だんだんパイナップルのシーズンが終わってくるので、今のうちにしっかり食べておくのをオススメします！
先日島の中に点在しているパイナップルの無人販売所の1つに行ってきました。
いろんな種類のいろんなサイズのパイナップルがコロコロと販売されていました。
こんなに大きなパイナップル初めてかもと言う位大きいサイズのものを買って帰ってきました。
さすが大きいパイナップル、皮をカットして食べる準備をしても、たくさん食べるところがあってとってもうれしかったです！
ちなみに、小さいパイナップルだと皮を落とした際に、可食部がとても少なくなり、あれれってことになることが多いです。
そして肝心のお味ですが、とってもジューシーで今年最高の味わいでした。
あーみんなにも食べてほしい！
最高なパイナップルを頂いたあとに、これも書いとかなくてはと思ったのですが、
こういった無人販売所で代金を支払わずにパイナップルを持ち逃げする人が結構いるらしく、農家さんの嘆きをネット上でも度々目にすることがありました。なぜなの？！とっても悲しかったです。

As we enter August, the pineapple season gradually comes to an end, so I highly recommend indulging in them while you can!
The other day, I visited one of the unmanned pineapple roadside stands scattered across the island. They were selling a variety of pineapple types and sizes, all rolling around and tempting me.
I decided to purchase one of the largest-sized pineapples I had ever seen. I was thrilled to find that even after peeling and preparing it, there was so much fruit to enjoy!
By the way, smaller pineapples tend to have a significantly smaller edible portion once you remove the skin, so it can be quite disappointing.
Now, let's talk about the taste. It was incredibly juicy and the best flavor I've experienced this year.
Oh, I wish everyone could have a taste!
After enjoying the amazing pineapple, something came to mind that I felt compelled to mention.
It seems that there are quite a few people who take pineapples from unmanned stands without paying, and I've come across posts online where farmers express their sorrow about it. Why would someone do that? It's truly disheartening.
It's important to remember that farmers put their effort and love into growing these pineapples. As those who appreciate the deliciousness of pineapples, let's empathize with the farmers and support them by paying for their produce.
As we continue to savor the exquisite taste of pineapples, let's cherish the connection with nature and the hard work of the farmers on Ishigaki Island.
