日々の喧騒から逃れて、南の島でのんびりくつろぎたいなーと思って石垣島にいらっしゃる方も多いと思います。
私もふらっと旅行に行ってその時やりたいことをふらっと思いついてやるのが大好きです。
でも、ここ石垣島ではその旅行スタイルは通用しません。
なぜなら、何事においても石垣島では、事前予約必須だからです。
最近はレンタカーが台数がないために予約できないと言うことがニュースにもなっていたので早めに予約しようと言う雰囲気があるのですが、レンタカーだけではなくアクティビティー、お食事についても同じことがいえます。
先日お友達ファミリーが、子連れと言うこともあって特に何も予定を決めず石垣島に遊びに来てくれました。
ホテルステイメインでしたので朝ごはんを食べながら「さぁ今日は何しよう？」ってことになりウェブや、観光雑誌などをめくって、乗馬でもしてみるかってことになりました。
いざ電話をかけると
希望の時間は既に先客があり予約できませんでした。
じゃぁ他の業者にしようとウェブサイトを見ると前日までに予約してくださいと書かれており予約できませんでした。
うーん、じゃあとりあえず今日はホテルのプールで1日遊ぼうそして夜は焼肉でも食べに行くかなと考え、有名店から順に予約を取ろうと連絡をしてみましたがどこも予約でいっぱいor お休み〜。結局ホテルのバイキングで済ますことになりました。
そんな感じで予約が取れずにいると、毎回ホテル内のレストランで食事をするはめになってしまい、さすがに同じお店で何回も食事をするのも飽きちゃったなぁってことに。
結論。石垣島へ旅行される際はなんとなくでも予定を立てて予約できるものは、とりあえず予約しておきましょう！

I think there are many people who come to Ishigaki Island to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax on a southern island.
I also love to go on a trip on a whim and do whatever comes to mind that I want to do at the time.
But that style of travelling doesn't work here in Ishigaki Island.
Because in Ishigaki Island, you have to make reservations in advance for everything.
Recently, it has been in the news that you can't book a rental car because there are not enough cars available, so there is an atmosphere that you should book early.
The other day, my friend's family came to Ishigaki Island with their children without any particular plans.
They mainly stayed at the hotel, so over breakfast, they talked about "What are we going to do today?" So they decided to go on a horse-riding trip, after browsing the web and tourist magazines.
When they called the shop, they found that the time they wanted could not be booked because there was already a customer.
They looked at the website and found another shop but they saw that it said to book at least one day in advance, so they couldn't make a reservation.
They spent the day at the hotel swimming pool and then wanted to go out for yakiniku BBQ in the evening but couldn't book a table in any Yakiniku BBQ shop in the city. In the end, they ended up having a buffet at the hotel.
When you can't get a reservation like that, you have to eat at the hotel restaurant every time then get tired of eating at the same restaurant over and over again.
Conclusion. When you travel to Ishigaki Island, make a schedule even if it's somewhat vague, and if you can make a reservation, make a reservation anyway!
