いつもはここでお肉を買って家で焼いて食べているのですが、

たまには、と言うことでお昼にランチを食べてきました。

結構ハンバーグが大きい！甘すぎないソースがGood.

オプションで、上にチーズを載せたり大根おろしを載せることもできます。

この日も、お店を出るときにお友達の家族が入店してきました。

帰りには、おうちで食べる用のお肉も買って帰りました。牛肉と豚肉が販売されています。どうせなら鶏肉も扱って欲しい！！石垣島でおいしい鶏肉を買えるお店を探していますずっと。

On the way home, I also bought some meat to eat at home. Beef and pork are on sale. They should carry chicken anyway! I've been looking for a shop where I can buy delicious chicken on Ishigaki Island.

時々ここでランチを食べます。
今日お友達に教えてもらいました、店名はロデオボーイと言うそうです。今まで知らなかった〜(^^)

ここはランチ専門のお店のようです、午後3時までの営業と書いてありました。

Sometimes I eat lunch here.
My friend told me today that the name of the restaurant is Rodeo Boy. I didn't know that until now.

It seems to be a restaurant specialising in lunch, and it says it is open until 3pm.

店内はこんな感じ、結構歴史があるようです。

バイキングスタイルでサイドメニューのカレーや、サラダなどを好きなように取ることができます。

前の経営者の方から今の経営者にチェンジしたときに、お部屋のレイアウトが変わりました。

メニューも変わりました。
以前のメニューも好きだったんだけどなぁ…

以前は、食後にお会計だったと思いますが、
今は入り口に注文と生産ができる機械が置いてあり、事前精算になっています。

クレジットカードや、バーコード決済などにも対応しているので便利になりました。

他に変わったことといえば、お店の向かいにあった駐車場がなくなりました。離島ターミナルの近くにあるコインパーキングかお店の目の前に路上駐車すると言う選択肢になっています。

そして、店の前でお留守番していた犬がいなくなりました。今も元気かな?

I liked the menu before...

Before, I think the bill was after the meal.
Now there is a machine at the entrance where you can order, and it is pre-paid.

It's more convenient as it accepts credit cards and barcode payment.

The other change is that the car park opposite the shop has gone. The options are coin-operated parking near the remote island terminal or parking on the street right in front of the shop.

And the dog that used to stay in front of the shop is gone. How's he still doing?

ステーキの焼ける煙が充満する店内。

いきなりステーキを甘さは控えめソースの“関東人向け”とすると、こちらはソースがこってり甘めで、“名古屋人向け”だなーと思いました。

If ikinari steak is "for Kanto people" with a less sweet sauce, this one is "for Nagoya people" with a thicker, sweeter sauce.

最近流行りの"たらしこみアート"をやってみました〜楽しい〜

アクリル絵の具をPVA洗濯糊で溶いて〜

一つのカップに入れます。

100円ショップの絵の具でもいいけど、せっかく家に飾るならリキテックスやターナーなどの絵の具メーカーの絵の具のほうが発色がいいのでお勧めです。

I tried the recently trendy "Pouring Art" - fun!

Dissolve acrylic paint with PVA laundry glue

Put them in one cup.

Paints from 100 yen shops are fine, but if you are going to decorate your home, paints from paint manufacturers such as Liquitex or Turner are recommended as they produce better colours.

あとは流れ出た絵の具をキャンバスに広げるだけ！

Now all that's left to do is to spread the flowing paint on the canvas!

今回はPVA洗濯糊と絵の具を混ぜてみたのですが、代表的なのはシリコンオイルを添加すると言う方法らしく、他にもアルコールを混ぜたりと言う方法もあるようです。

またアマゾンで見ていると、絵の具が混ざってしまわないようにできる

たらしこみアート専用メディウムも売っていて、思わず購入してしまいました。

なかよし食堂は大人気 Nakayoshi-shokudo, a popular restaurant in Ishigaki, Okinawa

↑甘辛い濃いめのお味、生姜焼き定食(オプションでご飯なし)

久しぶりになかよし食堂に行ってきました！
この店はリーズナブルに定食が食べられる私のお気に入りのお店の1つです。
昔からある食堂の1つで、おしゃれじゃないところがいいところです。

Haven't been to Nakayoshi Shokudo in ages!
This is one of my favourite places for a reasonably priced set meal.
It's one of the old-fashioned eateries, and the nice thing is that it's not fancy.

あま辛いお味です。

It has a sweet and spicy taste.

↑ゴーヤチャンプルー定食

ゴーヤとお豆腐、もやし、ポークランチョンミート、そして八重山スタイルのかまぼこ(魚のすり身)がアクセントに効いてました。

こちらのお店のもやしは全部ヒゲが切ってあって好印象。

私は家でもやしを使う時はヒゲを切っていません…手抜きです。かなりめんどくさいんですもの。でもここのお店のはちゃんと処理してあって素敵です。

もやしはヒゲを切るのと切らないので食感が変わります！

この日はランチタイム12時半ごろにお店に行ったのでかなり混んでいました。

私たちが入店した後に来たお客さんたちはかなり外で待たされていました。さすが人気店。

ちょっと時間をずらしていくのがお勧めです。

他にもある、私のオススメは「三枚肉そば」です。ソーキが苦手な人、あっさりした八重山そばに飽きた方に特にオススメ、しっかり味(塩分高め)で満足感があります。

Bitter gourd, tofu, bean sprouts, pork luncheon meat and Yaeyama-style fish paste (fish paste) were used as accents.

I was impressed by the fact that all the bean sprouts in this restaurant had their whiskers cut.

When I use bean sprouts at home, I don't cut the beards... I'm too lazy. It's quite a hassle. But the ones here are nice and well trimmed.

The bean sprouts have a different texture when you don't cut the whiskers!

We went to the restaurant at around 12.30pm lunchtime on this day, so it was quite busy.

The customers who came after we entered the restaurant had to wait outside for quite a while. It is indeed a popular restaurant.

I recommend staggering your time a bit.

There are other dishes, I recommend the Sanmainiku Soba (Soba with stewed pork). I especially recommend it to those who don't like Soki or are tired of the light Yaeyama Soba, it is well flavoured (high salt content) and satisfying.

琉家でランチ Ramen noodle lunch at Ryuya, Ishigaki, Okinawa

ちょっとご無沙汰していました

琉家で夏らしいメニューが出ていたので注文！

冷やしつけ麺です。

スープはカツオ系かな？冷やしうどんとかざるそばとかそっち系でした。

噛みごたえのある麺とほどよく味が染みた味玉がおいしかったです。

暑い夏には冷たいものが食べたい！

他には醤油ラーメンと

つけ麺(あつ盛)も味見しました〜

週末のお昼時はまあまあ混雑するので11時台に行くのがお勧めです。

It's been a little while since I've been here.
There was a summery menu at Ryuya, so I ordered some!
It's chilled tsukemen.
Is the soup bonito-based?
It was like chilled udon or zaru soba, or something like that.

The chewy noodles and well-seasoned flavoured eggs were delicious.
I need something cold to eat in the hot summer!

Other dishes include soy sauce ramen and
Tsukemen (with hot noodle).

It is recommended to go between 11am-12pm as it gets fairly busy at lunchtime on weekends.

真っ暗な中をドライブ driving in the dark, from Ishigaki airport to the city

久々に空港へいってきました～夜に。

雨も降ったりやんだりで、視界が悪かったけど結構車がいたので心細くならずに帰ってくることができました。

一人ぼっちだとほんとに真っ暗なので気を付けて運転しなくてはいけません。

I went to the airport after a long time - at night.

It rained on and off and visibility was poor, but there were quite a few cars around, so I was able to come back without feeling lonely.

It's really dark when you're all alone, so you have to drive carefully.

夏ですね、電気代が20,000円を超える月がやってきました！

あー高いなぁと思いますが背に腹は変えられません。私はエアコンなしで過ごすなんて絶対無理。

ほぼ24時間エアコンを稼働させています。

でも隣のおうちは…玄関のドアを開けてるんです。という事はエアコンかけてないってことですよね? 窓も開けているし…

エアコンかけてないってこと？！

どうしたらその暑い室内で過ごせるのか不思議でたまりません。

いつかお会いすることがあれば聞いてみようとは思うんですが…なかなか機会がなくて

暑いだけならまだしも、湿気も凄いので、玄関をずっと開けているなんて私からしたらあり得ません。だってカビが〜！

私は結構気をつけているつもりなのに、ちょっと油断したらすぐカビが生えてしまっているんです。例えば額縁の裏とか…子供の表彰状や絵、時計など、以前気づかない間にカビを生やしてしまっており、でもどうしても飾りたいし…ドキドキしながら飾っています。

先日石垣島出身のお友達にお家の換気をどうしてるか聞いてみました。

そのお友達はエアコンをかけつつ、うっすら窓のサッシを開けていると言っていました。

でも湿気がすぐ入ってきちゃうから、換気が完了したかなぁと思ったら窓を閉めるそうです。

昔ながらのオープンエアな沖縄住宅ではどのようにカビ対策をしていたのか気になります。誰か教えて！！

I run the air conditioner almost 24 hours a day.
But the house next door... they open their front door. That means they don't run air conditioning, right? They also have their windows open...
You mean they don't use air conditioning?
I can't help wondering how you can stay in that hot room.
I'd like to ask them if I meet them sometime... but I haven't had the chance.

It's not only hot, but it's also very humid, so from my point of view it's impossible to keep the front door open all the time. Because of the mould~!
I think I'm pretty careful, but if I'm not careful for a moment, mould grows immediately. For example, on the back of picture frames... my children's certificates, pictures, clocks, etc. have grown mould without me noticing before, but I really want to display them... I'm so nervous about displaying them.

The other day I asked a friend from Ishigaki Island how she ventilates her house.
She said she runs the air-conditioner and opens the window sashes slightly.
But humidity comes in quickly, so she said she closes the windows when she thinks the ventilation is complete.

I am wondering how mould control was done in the old-fashioned open-air Okinawan houses. Someone tell me!!!
