エアコンが壊れました 修理開始まで1週間

リビングのエアコンが動かなくなりました。

他の部屋のエアコンで室内の空調管理していますが、心もとないです。

これは離島あるあるなんでしょうかね？

今まで、内地で暮らしていた頃は、エアコンが壊れたことがなかったので、これも沖縄ならではなのかなぁと思っています。

内地にいた頃よりも格段にエアコンを酷使しており、このエアコンは購入から4年が経とうかと言うところですが、もうガタが来ちゃったみたいです。

湿気からくる劣化かなぁと個人的には思っています。

というのも、先日うちの椅子が壊れてしまい、分解してみるとクッション部分のスプリングを支える金属の一部が錆びて劣化していたところから問題は発生していたようで。

錆＝湿気かなぁと素人判断なのですが、思っています。

もう一脚のほうも同じような症状が起き始めているので、椅子のシートを剥がしてバネの修理をしなくてはいけません。

湿気による物の劣化はさておき、

販売店に連絡すると見に来てくれるまでに1週間、それから部品を注文したりなどあるので治るまでにはしばらく時間がかかりそうです…

離島だからこんなに時間がかかるんでしょうか?？そもそもエアコンが壊れたことがないので分かりません〜

まだ真夏ではありませんがエアコンはほぼフル稼働させている時期なので、ちょっと困りました。

まぁまだ真夏じゃなかっただけマシと言うことにしておきましょう！

Is this something that is common in remote islands?
When I used to live in the main island, my air-conditioner never broke down, so I wonder if this is also unique to Okinawa.

I use my air-conditioner much more than when I was in main island, and it has been four years since I bought this air-conditioner, but it seems that it has already become worn out.
I personally think it might be the deterioration from humidity.
The other day, one of our chairs broke down, and when I took it apart, I found that a part of the metal supporting the springs in the cushion part had rusted and deteriorated, and that's when the problem started.
Rust = moisture, I think, although it is a layman's judgement.
The other chair is starting to show the same symptoms, so I need to remove the seat of the chair and repair the spring.

Aside from things deteriorating due to moisture.
It's going to take a week for the dealer to come and look at it when I contact them, then I have to order parts and so on, so it's going to be a while before it's fixed...
Is it because we are on a remote island that it takes so long? I don't know because I've never had an air conditioner break down in the first place...

It's not midsummer yet, but it's the time of year when the air conditioner is running almost full blast, so it's a bit of a problem.
Well, let's just say it's a good thing it wasn't midsummer yet!

やっぱりうまかった チャーシュー麺 Best Chinese shop in Ishigaki island

お店の前で偶然知り合いに遭遇〜あなたも通ですね〜

今日はお店の外観をしっかり撮影してみました。

そしてはじめてのチャーシュー麺

柔らかいチャーシューが一面に敷き詰められています。

いやな脂身もなくて、柔らかくて〜いい感じ。

うまいなぁ〜メンマも白ねぎもとってもおいしかったです。染みるゼ。

今度からチャーシュー麺をオーダーすることにします！

餃子もチャーハンもとってもおいしかったです。塩加減が私の好み。

石垣島の街中華はこのお店で決まりです！

Today, too, I'm here again.
I ran into someone I know in front of the shop - you're a connoisseur too!

I took a good picture of the outside of the shop today.
And my first chashu noodles.

The soft chashu pork is laid all over the place.
It's soft and nice, with no unpleasant fatty bits.
It's so good - the bamboo shoots and white onions were very tasty too. 
I'll order the chashu noodles from now on!

The gyoza and fried rice were also very tasty. The saltiness is my favourite.
This is the place to go for Chinese food in Ishigaki Island!

ゴールデンウィークも終わり、夏休みまでは観光客の数もちょっと落ち着くのかな?

今日の新聞に、お得な宿泊プランのチラシが入っていました。

もう何回このプランではいむるぶしに泊まったことかしら?

コロナがひどかった時が懐かしいなぁと思えるようになってきました。このまま落ち着いてほしいなぁ〜

There was a flyer in today's newspaper offering a special accommodation plan.

How many times have I stayed at Haimurubushi with this plan?
I'm starting to miss the days when Covid-19 was terrible. I wish things would calm down.

ガストロ 石垣島 焼肉食べ放題 Gastro Ishigaki , BBQ

石垣島に住んでもう何年も経つのですが、初めて行ってみましたガストロへ。

まずはランチで偵察です。大人1590円と1490円、小学生は1080円。

テーブル席とだだっ広い畳の座敷席が選べました。

Googleのレビューなんかにもあったように昭和的な雰囲気。レトロ〜

お値段相応のお肉とサイドメニュー

牛、豚、鶏、とお肉は取り放題〜

お皿はみんなプラスチックなので学生時代の食堂を思い出しました。

小さいお子さんなどでワイワイ賑わっていたので割れない食器なんでしょうね。

サイドメニューがおいしいと聞いていたのですがほんとにそうでした。濃いめのしっかりした味付け。あとはキムチがあるといいんだけどなー。

内装もそうでしたが、デザートメニューにも昭和を感じるみかんの缶詰や、ナタデココ、アロエ、コーヒーゼリーなどが並んでいました。

コロナ以前は大型バスで観光客の方たちも利用されていたようですが

最近はめっきりそういうこともなくなりましたね〜あの賑わいは再び戻ってくるのでしょうか?

I've lived in Ishigaki Island for many years now, but this is the first time I've been to Gastro.
First of all, we scouted for lunch. Adults 1590 yen and 1490 yen, primary schools students 1080 yen.
There was a choice of table seating or a huge tatami room with tatami flooring.

Showa-era atmosphere, as seen in some reviews on Google. Retro~.

Meat and sides at reasonable prices.
All-you-can-eat beef, pork, chicken and other meats.
The plates are all plastic, which reminded me of the cafeteria in my school days.
I guess the plates are unbreakable because they were crowded with small children.

I had heard that the side dishes were delicious, and they really were. Strong and well seasoned. Now I just wish they had kimchi.
The decor was the same, but the dessert menu also included Showa-era canned mandarin oranges, nata de coco, aloe, coffee jelly and more.

Before Covid, tourists used to come here in large buses.
Will that bustle ever return?

軟骨焼きそば Cartilage on Yakisoba, yaeyama noodle shop, Coffee Tei

軟骨…今でこそ大丈夫だけど内地に暮らしていた頃なら敬遠していたであろうこの言葉。

でも〜石垣に4年も暮らしていると慣れたもんです。

今日は珈琲亭にてはじめてのメニューにトライしてきました。その名も軟骨焼きそば800円

いわゆる沖縄そばの、

ソーキそばの「ソーキ」が焼きそばに乗っていると言うメニューですが、

珈琲亭のソーキは脂身・ホルモン系が嫌いな私でも食べれちゃうんです〜軟骨のブヨブヨがないの〜柔らかいお肉が大半でした。よかった！

焼きそばのソースの味は懐かしの味、

甘辛のお好みソース風味で小学校のお昼に食べていた焼きそばを思い出しました。

あーおいしかったですごちそうさま。ボリューム満点！

最近はバチバチに晴れている石垣島。

駐車場にはレンタカーが大半を占めていました。

大人気大繁盛の珈琲亭でした。

Cartilage... now it's okay, but when I was living in the main island, I would have shunned this word.
But - after living in Ishigaki for four years, I'm used to it.

Today I tried my first menu item at Coffee Tei. The name is Cartilage Yakisoba 800 yen.

The menu is that the "Soki" of Soki Soba is on the Yaki Soba, but the "Soki" of Coffee Tei is not so-called "Soki". It's different from others.
I don't like fatty or hormonal meat (general Soki), but I can eat Coffee Tei's Soki (cartilage) - it doesn't have any cartilage( sounds strange but it's true) - most of the meat was soft lean meat. Thank goodness!  

The yakisoba sauce tasted nostalgic.
The sweet and spicy okonomiyaki sauce flavour reminded me of the yakisoba I used to eat for lunch in primary school.
Oh, it was delicious, thank you for the food. 

Ishigakijima Island has been sunny lately.
Sun shine is severe...can't walk outside.
Most of the parking lot was occupied by rental cars.
The Coffee Tei was very popular and very prosperous.

本日は波も高くなくてカヤックフィッシング日和でした。

夜には早速刺身、塩焼き、煮付けで美味しく頂きましたよ。

4月だけど夏が来た！

やばいですこれは

この日差しと、この湿度！

とても蒸し暑くて&日差しが痛い、ただいま午前10時。

夏ですよ。夏が来ました。

ゴールデンウィークを前にしてああ夏が来ました。

私にとってはうんざりするようなこの暑さも、南国バカンスを求めて来島する観光客にとってはこれが1番ありがたいお天気なんだよな〜

観光客として石垣に訪れた遠い日のことを思い返しています。
