落ち着いたカフェでひと息 peaceful afternoon cafe at Minsah weaving cafe, 54ever

ミンサー織りのお店の　あざみ屋さんにカフェが新設されたので行ってきました。

ここの建物は、もともとミンサー織体験ができる工房だったのですが、改装されてキレイなカフェになったようです。デザイナーさん、グッジョブ！

惜しむらくは椅子がもうちょっと快適&素敵だといいんですが…すんません、多くは求めないようにします♪

メニューはシンプルに、コーヒーとワッフル。

あざみ屋本館にあるショップと展示室を見た後にちょっと休憩するのにぴったりなスペースとなっていました♪　

出入口の方には、オリジナルのキャップなどのグッズも販売されていました。

↑このディスプレイ什器は機織り機を模したデザインですね！

凝ってる〜 細かい装飾が美しいわ〜

こういった美しいカフェや建物がどんどん増えてほしいです。

（掘っ立て小屋みたいな建物を作るのはほんとやめてほしい石垣文化の一つ）

落ち着いた空間で心の平安を取り戻した午後でした。

I went to the newly opened cafe at Azamiya, a shop that specializes in minsa weaving. The building used to be a workshop where you could experience minsa weaving, but it has been renovated into a beautiful cafe. The designer did an excellent job!

The only downside was that the chairs could have been a bit more comfortable and stylish, but I won't ask for too much.

The menu is simple, consisting of coffee and waffles. It's the perfect space to take a break after seeing the shops and exhibition hall at the main Azamiya building.

They also sell original merchandise like caps and other goods near the entrance.

The display fixtures, such as the one shaped like a weaving machine, are elaborate and beautifully decorated. I hope more beautiful cafes and buildings like this will continue to be created. (Ishigaki has a culture of building shoddy structures that really need to stop.)

It was a peaceful afternoon where I could regain my inner calm in a serene space.

かむあのラーメン Mapo Tofu Ramen at Kamua, Ishigaki

熱々でおいしいかむあのラーメン

一言で言うと、マーボードーフがラーメンの上に乗っています。

とろりとした餡がかかっているので、時間がたっても熱々で食べることができます。

1部の人たちの間で大人気、お友達が食べたいと言うので食べに行きました。

うん、以前他の店で食べたマーボー麺より全然おいしいねーと、ニコニコしながら食べました。

結構ボリュームがあるので、さすがの大食漢でも食べきることが出来ませんでした。

これは石垣あるあるですが、どこの飲食店さんも結構量があるパターンが多いです。

どーんと量があった方がお客さんは嬉しいんですかね？おかげさまで、石垣島に暮らし始めて、体重がうなぎ登りです。ありがとうございます。

The steaming hot and delicious Kamua Ramen can be summed up as having Mapo Tofu on top of the noodles. The thick sauce coating the noodles allows for it to be enjoyed piping hot even after some time. It's a popular dish among some people, and my friend also expressed interest in trying it, so we went to have some.

As we happily ate, my friend even commented that it was much tastier than the Mapo Noodles we had at another restaurant before. The dish had a considerable volume, and even my friend couldn't finish it all.

This seems to be a common trend in Ishigaki, where most food establishments serve generous portions. I wonder if customers are pleased with the large amounts? Thanks to this, my weight has skyrocketed since I started living on Ishigaki Island. Thank you very much.

ANA新館でのんびり風に吹かれていい気持ち Feeling relaxed and enjoying the gentle breeze at ANA Ishigaki

暇なので、お散歩がてらANAインターコンチネンタルリゾート石垣に遊びにきました。

石垣島は早くも夏になろうとしています。

夜風が気持ちいい〜

梅雨が来る前に、この気持ちの良い気候を堪能しなくては！ということでバルコニーに出ます。

I went for a walk to ANA InterContinental Resort Ishigaki to kill time. Ishigaki Island is already becoming summer-like. The evening breeze feels nice. Before the rainy season comes, I want to enjoy this pleasant weather, so I step out onto the balcony.

今回は、ANAインターコンチネンタルリゾート石垣

の新館にあるカフェスペースでお茶(ビール)をいただきました。

コーヒーも、ビールも約1000円なので、貧乏性の私はビールをチョイスw

他にもジェラート2種盛りも食べました〜

ピスタチオとドラゴンフルーツのジェラートをチョイス。

ピスタチオは豆の風味がしっかりして、

ドラゴンフルーツは特徴的なあの野菜っぽいというか、水っぽいというか、独特なドラゴンフルーツらしさを感じることができました。

おいしかったです。

This time, I had coffee (beer) at the café space in the new building of ANA InterContinental Resort Ishigaki. Both coffee and beer were around 1,000 yen, so being a penny-pincher, I chose the beer. I also had a double scoop of gelato, choosing pistachio and dragon fruit flavors. The pistachio flavor had a strong nutty taste, while the dragon fruit flavor had a distinct, vegetable-like or watery flavor that really captured the unique essence of dragon fruit. It was delicious.

カフェの外にはバルコニー、夜のプールが目の前に広がっています。

この日はあまり暑くなかったので、泳いでいる人はあまりいませんでしたが、照明がいい感じにセットしてあってきれいでした。

しばらく風に吹かれていたら、寒くなったので中に入ります。

カフェの内装はこんな感じです。

オープンした時からあまり時間が経っていないので変わっていません。

英語の本がたくさん置いてあって、おしゃれな感じにしてあります。

奥の方では、テーブルに電源が設置されてあるので、落ち着いてお仕事をされたい人にも使えるようになっています。

何度かここのカフェに来たことがありますが、騒がしかった事は1度もありません、さすが。

Outside the café, the balcony overlooks the night pool. It wasn't too hot that day, so not many people were swimming, but the lighting was set up nicely and it looked beautiful.

After being blown by the wind for a while, I got cold and went back inside. The interior of the café looked the same as before, with many English books and a stylish atmosphere. There are power outlets on the tables in the back, so it's also suitable for people who want to work peacefully. I've been to this café a few times, but it has never been noisy, as expected.

帰りはカフェの入口付近に設置されている小さなショップコーナーを物色。

ついついいつも何かを買ってしまうのですが、

今回はロールオンタイプのシークヮーサーのコロンを買いました。

沖縄本島にある”りうぼう”というデパート？が作っているコロンでした。

スキッとした甘ったるくない大人っぽい香りで気に入りました。おすすめです！

On the way back, I browsed the small shop corner located near the entrance of the café.

I always end up buying something, and this time I bought a roll-on type of Shikuwasa (citrus) cologne.

It was made by a department store called "Riubou" on the main island of Okinawa.

I liked the refreshing, non-sweet, and mature scent. It's highly recommended!

移住者は語る：石垣島の4月はサイコー ブツブツ独り言 April in Ishigaki Island is the Best - Muttering to Myself.

４月は石垣島では”うりずん”とよばれる季節です。

湿気がなくて、涼しい風が吹き抜けてサイコーの季節。

石垣島に住んではや何年目でしょうか？４月の石垣が最高といえます。

だって夏は、特に７月は本当に蒸し暑くて、家に引きこもりになってしまいます。

ちょっとお買い物で外に出ると、もういけません。玄関のドアを開けてすぐに床に倒れ込んでしまうくらい太陽にやられてしまうのです。

そんな季節が来る前に、この４月の素晴らしさをいっぱい吸い込んでエネルギー補給しておかなくては！

April is the season called "Urizun" in Ishigaki Island.

It's a fantastic season with no humidity and cool winds blowing through. I've been living in Ishigaki Island for several years now, and I can confidently say that April is the best month here.

Because summer, especially July, is extremely humid and makes me want to stay inside my house all day long. Even going out for a quick shopping trip can be unbearable. As soon as I open the front door, I feel like collapsing on the floor due to the scorching sun.

Before such a season arrives, I must absorb the greatness of this April and replenish my energy!

今日はお友達が久しぶりにお外で遊ぶというのでご一緒させてもらいました。

しばらくぶりに見上げる空はほんとうに突き抜けて青くて心がすっとしました。

視線を落とすと猫のうんちがたくさん散らばっているのには閉口しましたが…そうここは通称猫島、捨て猫がいっぱい住んでいる人工の島なのです。

週末になると餌を上げたり、猫をなでにいろんな人が訪れる島が石垣島にはあります。

ネコ好きさんにはおすすめの場所ですが、ゴミやうんちが散乱してて、公衆トイレの前はすごい数のハエとひどい悪臭がしてて…どうにかならないものか？

お友達のパパはさすがに偉い！帰りがけにゴミを拾って帰っていました。

ちょっとでも貢献しなきゃね、大谷さんの言う通り、「ゴミを拾えない人は幸せも拾えない」ってね〜

Today, I joined my friends who were playing outside for the first time in a while.

The sky, which I looked up to after a long time, was piercingly blue, and it made my heart feel refreshed.

However, when I looked down, I was dismayed by the large amount of cat feces scattered around... This is called "cat island," an island created through reclamation where many abandoned cats live.

On weekends, many people visit the island to feed the cats or stroke them, making it a recommended spot for cat lovers. However, there are problems with garbage and feces scattered around, and the area in front of the public toilet is full of flies and a terrible odor... Is there anything that can be done about it?

My friend's dad is truly admirable! He picked up the garbage on the way home. I have to make some contribution, as Mr. Ohtani said, "People who cannot pick up garbage cannot pick up happiness."

きたうち牧場で焼肉ランチ BBQ yakiniku lunch at Kitauchi Bokujo, Ishigaki, Okinawa

石垣島の市街地の東側にある、

きたうち牧場でランチを食べてきました。

ここは一番新しくできたきたうち牧場で、お店が広々としているのが良いところ！

街中心部にあるお店って大抵狭くて、隣のお客さんとの距離が近かったりするので

のんびり、広々とした空間でご飯を食べたいときにはおすすめです。

しばらく前にYoutuberのてんちむさんもここに来てたと思う。

Youtuberさんは背景に関係ない人が映り込むと編集とか面倒でしょうから、ここのお店みたいにブースで仕切られているお店は使い勝手がいいはず。

Had lunch at Kitauchi Bokujo, located on the eastern side of the Ishigaki Island city center. This is the newest Kitauchi Bokujo and one of the good things about it is that the restaurant is spacious and open!

Usually, restaurants in the city center are narrow and the distance between neighboring customers is close, so it's recommended for those who want to have a relaxed meal in a spacious environment.

I think YouTuber Tenchim-san also came here a while ago. For YouTubers, it's probably convenient to have restaurants like this one, with booths that provide privacy, as it can be a hassle to edit out unrelated people in the background.

さて、お料理ですが、

ステーキ重はまあ、ね。こんな感じです。お米が山盛り〜。

やっぱり途中で冷めちゃうから、焼き肉にすればよかったとちょっぴり後悔。

焼き肉ランチに追加で牛タンとかを注文しました。

ランチについてくるお米は白米か、追加料金でビビンバを選択できたので、ビビンバに変更！

セットミールのお肉はこんな感じ。

その時々で変わってる気がします。前来たときはこれじゃなかったような？

特選セット！という高級なお肉の焼き肉ランチもあるのですが、私のオススメはオーソドックスな焼き肉ランチです。奇をてらうよりもいつもの、普段よく食べる感じのお肉が美味しいと思うのは年だからでしょうか？

せっかく石垣島に来たんだからと珍しいお肉が食べたい方には特選セットをおすすめしまーす。

There is also a high-end yakiniku lunch with "Special Set" that features carefully selected meat, but my recommendation is the regular yakiniku lunch. Perhaps it's because of my age, but I think that the meat with a familiar, everyday taste is more delicious than trying something unusual.

For those who have come all the way to Ishigaki Island and want to try rare meat, I recommend the Special Set.

ハンバーグ

お店オリジナルのハンバーグ、大きさが３種類あって選べました。これは中サイズ。

何が入っているか見えないミンチより、カットされた普通のお肉のほうがいい気もするけど、

焼肉屋さんのハンバーグってなんか美味しそうって思ってよく注文しちゃいます。

食事を終えて薄暗い店内から外に出たときの衝撃といったら！文字通り目がくらみました。

激烈な日差し！

お肉を食べて元気が出ました。さて何しよう…

They had original hamburgers at the restaurant and you could choose from three different sizes. This one is the medium size. While I sometimes think that regular sliced meat is better than minced meat where you can't see what's inside, I often end up ordering hamburgers at yakiniku restaurants because they look delicious.

After finishing the meal and stepping outside from the dimly lit restaurant, I was shocked! The sunlight was so intense that it literally made me dizzy.

Eating the meat gave me energy. Now, what should I do next...

本土にはない”さしみ屋”さんという

お刺身を販売するお店が石垣島にはたくさん点在しています。

今回は元市役所近くにあるヤエスイさんというお店で購入してみました。

なんと環境に配慮した紙のトレイに入っていました！

たくさんお刺し身屋さんがあるのですが、

それぞれ全然違っています。味が、風味が。

食べ比べをおすすめします！

私は”ねぎとろ”好きなので、ときどき買うのですが、

特に”ねぎとろ”は混ぜてあるので、中身は何かをお店の人に確認するのが重要です。

卵だったり、マヨネーズだったりが入っている場合が結構あります。

It's the season for fresh tuna!

The people of Ishigaki Island are quietly excited about it.

There are many shops on Ishigaki Island that sell sashimi, which you won't find on the mainland.

This time, we bought some from a shop called "Yaesui" near the former City Hall. Surprisingly, it came in an environmentally friendly paper tray!

There are many sashimi shops on the island, and each one is completely different in terms of taste and aroma.

I recommend trying a few and comparing them!

I like "negitoro" (chopped tuna and green onion) so we sometimes buy it.

However, it's important to confirm what's inside because sometimes it may contain eggs or mayonnaise mixed in.

Here are some recommended shops for sashimi and takeout sushi based on information gathered from friends:

お気に入りのグラスが割れちゃったからまた買うぞ

私が愛用しているグラスがこちら↓

とっても使いやすい。

写真にあるように、熱い飲み物も・冷たい飲み物もOKなのでとっても重宝しています。

しかも温かい飲み物は冷めにくく、

冷たい飲み物はぬるくなりにくい！いつまで氷が残ってる、うれしい〜

朝はホットコーヒー、

午後は氷を入れてアイスラテを作るのです。

ボディがストレートのタイプ↓も持っていますが、

私の手に馴染むのは↑こちらの丸っこいタイプ。

で、

こんなに愛用しているのに昨日落として割ってしまいました…

複層ガラスになっているからか、割れっぷりが凄まじかった。

すっごい小さく粉々になって、バーーーン！！

今まで割ったことあるお皿はコップは複層になってなかったから、大きな塊で割れてたように思いますが、このガラスはすごかった。

えーっ！破片が細かい！薄い！破片を触るのが怖いって思ったのはこのグラスが始めてかも。

まずは使い捨てのフロアモップをかけて、

それから要らない布で拭いて、

炊事用手袋をして破片をかき集めて、新聞紙に包んで「割れ物」表示をしてから石垣市指定の燃えないゴミへ。

さらに掃除機をかけました。

ふ〜〜焦った。

以前お茶碗の欠片を踏んで、かかとから結構な出血をしたことがあるので

念入りに掃除をしました。

でも

やっぱり使い勝手がいいからリピート買いします！

ーーー追記

しばらくして(船便だから届くのに時間がかかります:10日ぐらい経ってから)ついに手元に届きました！

これからもガンガン使っていくよ〜
